17 years. 200+ families. Dozens of 30+ ACT scorers. Multiple perfect 36s. And a coach who prays for every student who walks through the door.
Book a Free ConsultationI've spent 17 years doing one thing: helping students conquer the ACT and SAT. Not just pass it. Not just improve a few points. Conquer it — walk into that test room with a calm mind, a clear strategy, and the deep conviction that they were made for this moment.
Over those 17 years I've worked with more than 200 families. I've watched students jump 200+ points on the SAT. I've watched kids go from test anxiety so paralyzing they'd blank on answers they knew cold — to composites in the 30s. I've had students score perfect 36s on the ACT. That's the highest score there is.
But the scores aren't the whole story. They never were. The real work happens at a different level — and that's what keeps me doing this after 17 years.
In 2021, my wife and I packed up our family of five and moved to Franklin, Tennessee. Our three daughters settled into this community, and so did we. Williamson County isn't just where I work. It's home. From Brentwood to Spring Hill, Fairview to Nolensville — these are our neighbors, and I love getting to serve the students who grow up here.
I set out to help students believe something about themselves that most of them had never been told: you were made to conquer.
Seventeen years ago I started coaching students one-on-one, and something happened in those sessions that I didn't expect. The test became secondary. The real work was always internal. A student who believed she couldn't do math — could. A student who had test anxiety so bad he'd blank on material he knew — didn't. Not because I had a magic trick, but because confidence is coachable. The right kind of confidence — not hype, not false belief, but the settled conviction that you have what it takes — changes everything about how a student performs.
"Your student doesn't need another tutor who goes over practice questions. They need a coach who sees the big picture — and trains them to win."
I wrote about this in my book, More Than Standard — which takes its name from what I believe about every student who walks through my door. You are more than your score. More than your GPA. More than the version of yourself that's been underestimating its own potential. The name of this business isn't a slogan. It's a conviction I've carried for nearly two decades.
I've also spoken at schools across the country — including Monte Vista Christian and Trinity Christian — on mindset, identity, and what it actually takes to step into your best performance. The message is the same whether I'm coaching one student at a coffee shop in Franklin or speaking to an auditorium. You were built for more than you think.
Life has also taught me, in very personal ways, what it means to fight for something when the odds feel stacked against you. I've been through seasons where I had to dig deep into a faith and a conviction that wasn't going to let me quit. That experience is in this work. When a student is struggling — with a concept, with fear, with their own belief in themselves — I've been there. I know what it takes to come through the other side.
I'm a Christian. Not in a bumper-sticker way. In a "I've watched miracles happen in prep sessions" way.
I pray for my students. Sometimes silently. Often out loud, if they're open to it. I've had parents text me after a session to say their kid had a breakthrough — in their spirit, not just in their practice score. I've seen students walk in anxious and defeated and leave with something different in their eyes.
I share what I believe God is saying about each student — who they are, what they're built for, why this moment in front of a test isn't an obstacle but a proving ground. That kind of word lands differently than a pep talk. It tends to stick.
If you're a Christian family who wants more than a tutor — someone who will see your student, pray with them, and call out what's in them — this is the right place. If you're not a Christian but you want the best test prep in Williamson County, I still want to help. You just deserve to know who you're getting.
"In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
Romans 8:37I pray with my students at the start of sessions. Not as a ritual. As a real conversation with a God who actually cares how this test goes.
I've seen physical and emotional breakthroughs happen during our time together. Anxiety that had gripped a student for years — gone. I don't take credit for that.
I share what I sense God is saying about a student — their identity, their calling, their capacity. These words have changed lives. Not because of me.
Built on Romans 8:37 and Philippians 4:13. This isn't motivational content. It's Scripture applied to test day — and it works.
In 2021, my wife and I made the decision to move our family of five to Franklin, Tennessee. It wasn't a small leap. But from the moment we arrived, Williamson County started to feel like exactly where we were supposed to be.
We've come to absolutely love it here. The people, the schools, the character of the different communities across the county. Brentwood and Franklin have been home base, but we love everything from Spring Hill to Nolensville and over to Fairview. These aren't just dots on a service map. They're the communities our kids grow up in alongside yours.
For local students, I meet in person at spots around the county — wherever is most convenient for your family. For students outside the area, or when schedules get complicated, we work online. Either way, you get the same coaching.
I serve students from Brentwood High, Franklin High, Independence, Page, Nolensville, Brentwood Academy, Montgomery Bell Academy, Christ Presbyterian Academy, Lipscomb Academy, Harpeth Hall, and more. If your student goes to school in Williamson County, chances are I've worked with their classmates.

Students who commit to the full process typically jump 5 to 10 points on the ACT — the equivalent of 150 to 350 points on the SAT. When that score unlocks a merit scholarship or opens the door to their top school, families tell me it's the best money they ever spent.
Sessions are 90 minutes — $247.50 per session. I work with a limited number of students at a time. Spots fill fast.
